Recently read: Troubleshooting, by Molly Young (also available at Urban Outfitters, of all places)
Young’s writing—which I’ve quoted on more than one occasion—seems to be intrinsically difficult to describe, but it’s sometimes so flawless, so right that just reading it makes you feel like you’ve accomplished something important.

Mr. Alexander is probably the best teacher I’ve ever had. Awesome that he’s being recognized in this way, really unfortunate that he’s currently battling cancer (I take it for granted that the timing of the former has something to do with the latter).
